Lego Creator Parrot Set (30472) Review

Lego released the Lego Creator Parrot Set as promotional freebie that available back in January 2016. You could get the set with a calendar token at Lego brand stores. In the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand you were also able to get this promotional freebie with a qualifying purchase from Lego Stores and Lego's online shop in May 2016. It consists of 43 pieces. There are no minifigures in this set and the pieces are loose inside the polybag along with the instruction leaflet.
The Build

Whilst this is only a small build the detail and playability is great. It is a very colourful parrot consisting of red, yellow, black, grey, two shades of blue and white pieces with black print for the eyes. I'm not usually a fan of Creator sets myself but I have to say I really do like this little creature. It is definitely an improvement on the previous Lego Creator Parrot (30021) which I also have.
The parrot has three moveable parts. The two wings which are pivoted on a ball connector for rotational as well as directional movement. The tail is connected via a double clip piece and moves vertically.
The Verdict

So that brings us to the end of this simple but effective little set. Whilst I do prefer not to have sets without Minifigures myself I have to say this little creature is one of my favourite polybag builds. I definitely recommend this set. My daughter seems to love him although she is only almost 2 at the moment so he will become hers in just over a year when she is old enough to take good care of him. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read through my review and I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Our little parrot would like to say; "So long and thanks for all the fish". I think he has been watching too much television.
